REBASE / REPOWER

This project pursues the development of a new foundation concept for high-power wind turbines, which allows the repowering of existing wind farms, reusing the foundations of previous wind turbines. The new foundation structure will complement the previous foundation, joining together to increase the bearing capacity, allowing the installation of new generation wind turbines of up to 6MW of power. In order for the new structure to function correctly supporting the loads of the new wind turbines, it will be necessary for the old and new foundations to work in solidarity, uniformly transmitting the loads, as if it were a single foundation built in a single block.
